A Look Back...
The Thomas Scott Foundation, Spring Creek Golf Course, and PGA Professional Jason Jerman invited everyone to participate in Nevada’s most unique and fun golf tournament…the annual, Thomas Scott Memorial Golf Tournament, Saturday, August 8, at the Spring Creek Golf Course. Registration begins at 6:30 am with an 8 am conch shell start. Cost is $40 per person and includes a luau-style lunch, a free golf lesson, and a tournament goody bag. Cart and green fees are extra.
The tropical-themed 2-person scramble features an auction; contests for longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the hole; and team chamber check prizes for low net and gross scores with the top teams netting $200 each. New for 2009 is the ‘19th Hole’ Putting Competition featuring a rotating trophy! Special theme holes include: Tiki Tees, Hula Hole-in-one, and the Margarita Mayhem hole.

Foundation Donates to Theater Company’s Relay for Life Team!
The Thomas Scott Foundation has donated $350 to the Silver Stage Players’ Elko Relay Life team in support of the local theater company’s continuing efforts to help fight cancer. TSF Chairman Jayson Stanton presented the contribution to team captain Tony Piper of the arts group’s team in a ceremony earlier this month.
“ We are so grateful to the Thomas Scott Foundation’s continued support of the Silver Players and our Relay for Life team.” said SSP Chairman Erika Patrick. “Their support help us conduct our event activities and allow us to concentrate on besting last year's donation to the American Cancer Society.” Mrs. Patrick added, “We thank Chairman Stanton and the rest of the foundation for their generosity. We’ll certainly make them proud!” Read the full press release.
The Tom Scott Foundation donates $4000 to the Tom Scott Junior Golf Program at the Spring Creek Golf Course. Organizers said, "The Tom Scott Memorial Foundation presented the Spring Creek Junior Golf Program with a check for $4000. The Junior Golf Program has grown to over 100 members due to the generosity that the Foundation has contributed.
The Tom Scott Foundation donates $1000 to the Cinderella Scholarship Pageant to use for bringing in trainers for their programs and help send Elko royalty to the international competition in Las Vegas. Pictured are members of both organizations. We support the Cinderella Scholarship Pageant and so should you!
The Tom Scott Foundation donates $1000 to the Igloo organization in an effort to open an indoor, multipurpose athletic facility in Elko. We support the Igloo and so should you!
The Tom Scott Foundation donates $500 to the Gamble Oak Pony Club to use for training their trainers. We support the Pony Club and so should you! Pictured are TSF and GOPC members!
